A bone bruise is defined as a micro-trabecular fracture. With increased use of higher density MRI studies, evidence of bone bruises is growing in the literature. During this introductory lab course, the therapist will learn how to perform The Bone Bruise Technique to correct the microtrabecular fractures. The Bone Bruise Technique was developed in 1995. The Bone Bruise Technique can be used anywhere in the body, throughout the skeletal system, for correction of acute and chronic bone and joint pain that may be related to bone bruises. The technique will lead to decreased pain, increased strength and stability, decreased joint swelling, improved gait, decreased recurrent ankle sprains, and much more.
During this course, the therapist will be introduced to the growing field of bone bruises: osseous bridges, bone bars, bone marrow edema.
